DeKalb County Public Fishing Lake

This 120 acre man-made lake is located on top of Sand Mountain in the Sylvania Community.
Owned by the Alabama Game & Fish Division, this fully stocked lake offers bass, catfish,
bream, bluegill and even crappie. There is a playground and picnic area, country store and

DeSoto State Park Campground
- The New & Improved campground has a total of 94 full
hook-up sites, with 2 comfort stations centrally located. Each site can
accommodate any number of large camping units. Tents are also welcome.
Picnic tables & grills are located at each site.
Campground Amenities include, 50/30 Amp Service, Cable
TV Hookup, All sites with sewer, water, & electric, All sites average 16
feet by 60 feet deep, Large offsets for slide-outs, and picnic tables.
Grills on each site, Two brand-new comfort stations with coin-operated

Sequoyah Campgrounds -
Campground will be closed for renovation till Spring of 2010. This campground is located in the foothills of Sand Mountain at Sequoyah Caverns.
Besides the beautiful view of Wills Valley and Lookout Mountain, this park

hook-ups, a dumping station, picnic area, bathrooms and showers, store, washer and dryer
